My name is Nickson Moshi and I am owner and operator of Masai Giraffe Safari Ltd., a licensed company headquarted in Arusha, Tanzania.  I am a native of Tanzania, Africa and am a professional licensed mountain guide with the National Park Service of Tanzania and certified by the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), Advanced Wilderness First Aid and Heart Saver CPR.     

I was born and raised at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro as a member of the Chagga Tribe.  I first began climbing Kilimanjaro as a porter at the age of 15.  I quickly moved into the position of assistant guide and eventually worked as a head guide for several of the luxury tour operators offering trekking services on Mt. Kilimanjaro.  I have taken that experience and expertise with me to Masai Giraffe where my goal is to offer superior safari and trekking services at more affordable prices. 

Over the last several years I have started to specialize in trekking and safari services for groups and individuals with special needs.  I have guided people with physical and mental challenges as well as blind individuals, many of whom were able to make it to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro.  I would be happy to discuss any special needs that you or your group might have in order to assist you in planning your adventure. 
 
My goal with each trek and safari is to help you experience the beauty and adventure of Kilimanjaro and Africa with your safety as my #1 concern.   All of my drivers, guides and porters are selected from a pool of multilingual well qualified individuals who are trained and certified.  Your safety and well being are of utmost importance to us from the moment you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport to the moment you leave.
